Looking for love in the city? London may feel like a lonely metropolis when you're avoiding eye-contact with everyone on the morning commute, but there are singles out there – if you know where to look.
Data from dating site Elite Singles, seen by Morning Wire, shows which parts of London have the most high-flying singles in the city.
West London is easily the best place to find elite singles, with three per cent more women and four per cent more men than the general population.
If you're looking for women, look to the south west; 18.1 per cent of Londoners live in this area – but as many as 23.6 per cent of the women registered on Elite Singles are in this postcode.
Single women looking for high-achieving men should go bar-hopping in W or WC postcodes. Some 14.2 per cent of Elite Singles' men are registered in W – although just 11 per cent of Londoners live here – and 2.4 per cent of its men are in WC, compared to just 0.7 per cent of Londoners.
And where should you avoid? North London seems to be a bit of a dry spot. It's a highly residential area, with 17.3 per cent of Londoners living in it. However, only 13.9 per cent of elite men and women are in this location.
