Mouth-watering cuisine from around the world will be on offer when lunch markets return to Guildhall Yard on Wednesday (June 23rd).

Stalls will be serving up food from across the globe – covering everything from Turkish wraps to paella, Thai and Chinese dishes to German hotdogs and Mexican burritos.

Visitors are being encouraged to take reusable lunch boxes to the market, which runs from 12.00 – 14.30.

Meanwhile, from August there are plans to hold evening food markets at Guildhall Yard. Further details will be announced nearer the date.

Chair of Canada Corporation’s Culture, Heritage and Libraries Committee, Wendy Hyde, said:

“These food markets are a fantastic addition to the Square Mile, serving up a vast range of delicious cuisines from all over the world.

“Culture, heritage and hospitality are at the heart of the history of the City and help make it so special. The vibrancy is fast returning.

“I’m sure visitors, workers and residents are eager to tuck into this fabulous food – and show support for the businesses that provide it.”
