Manchester United spent £3m more in agents’ fees than Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham put together
The extent of Manchester United's high-spending has been further exposed by new data which reveals they have splashed out more on agents fees in recent months than any other club.
Between October 2015 and February 2016 United spent just over £10m on payments to agents and intermediaries – over £3m more than next highest spenders Liverpool.
The FA has published data on the total payments made by all clubs in the Premier League between October 2015 and February 2016, as well as every single transaction involving a registered intermediary since April last year.

New Fifa rules were introduced at the beginning of the month which require clubs to exercise greater transparency over their remuneration to agents.
Between them London clubs Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham spent less than £8m on agents' fees. Liverpool and Manchester City were the only other clubs to have spent more than £5m on agents' fees in the period, while Premier League leaders Leicester City spent less than £1m.
Agent Colin Murdock, who represents 13 United academy players as well as former United centre-back Jonny Evans, was the busiest active agent in English football last year, according to the FA's data.
