Masters prize money 2016: How much can Jordan Spieth, Jason Day and Rory McIlroy win in Augusta?
Not only does winning the Masters seal your name in history, earn you the first Major of the golf season, and reward you with the prestigious Green Jacket – winning it also comes with a seven-figure prize money cheque.
A total prize money pool of $10m (£7m) is on offer at the tournament, which could mean the winner takes home a cool $1.8m from Augusta – the biggest reward of any golf event so far this season.
Even a 50th placed straggler could take home a respectable $25,200 for a weekend's work.
The tournament has kept its remuneration fund at $10m this year following a $1m top-up ahead of last year's tournament, won by breakout star Jordan Spieth.

Golf’s three other Majors set aside similar sums for players' payments; the US PGA Championship and US Open both boast of $10m prize money pools while the Open's is slightly narrower at $9.3m.

Yet this season's biggest prize money pool is to be found at The Players Championship, which has boosted its fund by $500,000 to $10.5m.
Jason Day, Rory McIlroy and Spieth arrive in Augusta as favourites to secure the $1.8m payday, but it is world No6 Adam Scott who enters with the most secure so far this season with $4.4m in prize money, having already won two titles this year.
Spieth's win a year ago set in motion a stunning – and lucrative – season which saw him earn $12m on the PGA Tour plus a further $10m from the FedEx Cup.
