Masters champion Danny Willett admits he is looking forward to watching replays of his Augusta triumph after arriving back in Britain.

Willett, who became a father just days before jetting out to America for the year’s first Major tournament, also listed being back with his family among the things he was relishing upon his return home.

“Spending time with [wife] Nic and little man [son Zac] and watching it over, seeing the re-runs and just enjoying being at home, going back to being a dad, changing some nappies,” he said. “It’s been a tough week obviously, leaving them after he was only just born, it’s been tricky, but we’ve been in contact every day.”

The 28-year-old from Sheffield also revealed he was still coming to terms with winning the Green Jacket – a result that propelled him into the world’s top 10 for the first time.

“The more you say it, you start to realise just what we did last week and everything that going to go with it,” Willett added.

“Hopefully we just take it our stride and enjoy what we’ve done. We’ve had a lot of encouraging messages from a lot of really nice people round the world, offering advice if I need it, so we’ve got a lot of good people on our side.”
