Strategic outsourcing company MITIE has said it has had a good start to the financial year with a “growing order book” and a “strong pipeline of sales opportunities” (release).

In its interim management statement for the period 1 April 2013 to date, MITIE said it had secured 89 per cent of budgeted revenues for this financial year, and is “well placed toi achieve good levels of organic growth”, particularly in the facilities management division.

The group reported it has been awarded a contract with restuarant and pub operator Mitchells & Butlers worth £38m in addition to a number of smaller contracts with BAE Systems, Cineworld and Kellog's in the private sector, and the Continuing Healthcare programme in Leicestershire and framework contracts in Worcestershire and Richmond upon Thames in the public sector.

The group will announce its interim results on 18 November 2013.
