Molinari brothers fire Italy
GOLF: Brothers Edoardo and Francesco Molinari held of overnight leaders Ireland and defending champions Sweden to give Italy their first-ever World Cup success in China.
The Molinaris began the final day a shot behind Ireland’s Rory McIlroy and Graeme McDowell but a round of 68 saw them rally to 29-under-par.
This gave them a one-shot victory with Ireland (70) and the Swedish team of Robert Karlsson and Henrik Stenson (69), sharing second.
England’s Ian Poulter and Ross Fisher rallied to a fourth place finish, two shots further adrift, after a final round 64.
