Murray hits back at Lloyd
TENNIS: British No1 Andy Murray has hit back at former Davis Cup captain John Lloyd following criticism of his self-imposed absence from the team.
Lloyd resigned as captain following the embarrassing defeat by Lithuania, without Murray, and then turned on the world No3, insisting he should not pick and choose when he plays for his country.
But Murray replied: “I would rather he was a little more supportive. I have to do what is best for my career.”
