By: Jason Hill

As of January 2017, there were over 2.2m apps in the Apple app store. Too many of these are not reaching their target audience.

In this article, we are going to look at ways that you as an application developer can ensure that your app reaches its desired audience. For the purpose of this article, we are assuming that you as the reader have already signed up for a free account at appScattter.com.

Online Presence

An active online presence is essential, for instance adhering to the best practice across all the relevant social media platforms will provide you with valuable market insight. Couple this with the appScatter platform and you will have a winning formula for success.

We would recommend that you monitor your social media accounts and interact regularly. Be prepared to adapt for your target audience.

Reputation Management

You need to observe and drop into conversations in other online communities, striving to build a reputation. For more on this, we would invite you to claim your free application marketing review.

Do not overlook other online forums and communities, such as Reddit, Quora, ProductHunt, etc.

Combining your social media findings, forum activity and the market trends you'll find within appScatter.com, you will be able to focus your energy on the real mechanics of user acquisition.

Once you have found your pace in building, monitoring and responding online, work to increase your target customer reach. One next step in this regard would be identifying key influencers. Once you know who they are, get in contact. Create a contact list, work through it methodically in one pass, and re-assess. A second pass might work, but do not fill their inbox.
