Nadal masterclass sees off Djokovic
WORLD No1 Rafael Nadal is on the brink of qualifying for the last four of the ATP World Tour Finals after breezing past Novak Djokovic.
Nadal took just one hour 51 minutes to see off Djokovic at the O2, who required treatment for a complaint related to his right contact lens, 7-5 6-2 to move top of Group A.
“It was a very good match for me,” the Spaniard said. “I’m very sorry for Novak. I wish him all the best for his eyes. This was my best match in London.”
In the other Group A match, Tomas Berdych condemned Andy Roddick to a 7-5 6-3 defeat.
MURRAY | HOW HE CAN QUALIFY
Should Andy Murray beat David Ferrer today, and were Robin Soderling to lose against Roger Federer, the British No1 would be through to the semi-final without having to worry about any complex mathematics. However, should he and Soderling end up locked together on four points, or he, Ferrer and Soderling end up with two points apiece, qualification will go down to percentage of games won. That is determined by dividing the number of games played by games won. So far Murray has a win percentage of 50 while Soderling’s stands at 47.7.
