New homes: Our pick of the new builds going on sale in London this weekend

New developments on the market this week

Kidbrooke Village, Greenwich

From £567,500 for a two bed with two bathrooms

First time buyers can get on the ladder – and be part of a £1bn regeneration project – on the outskirts of Blackheath with the launch of these new Help to Buy homes. The interior design of the open plan apartments at Birch House, which are close to a new Cator Park, are inspired by Gustav Klimt’s Birch Forest painting. Buyers also get access to a 24 hour concierge, private gym, rooftop lounge and Zipcar membership.

Homebuyer Event, Barking

From £72,750 and £62,500 with Shared Ownership

This is the last chance to buy at Weavers Quarter and the first opportunity to buy at Barking Riverside. The former is selling off its last 51 homes under Shared Ownership near Barking high street. The latter has four bedroom townhouses and one to three bedroom apartments, all for sale with Help to Buy and Shared Ownership. Buyers who reserve this weekend at the East London Homebuyers Event will get two years free service charge, free legal fees and a contribution towards stamp duty costs for specific homes.

Acton Gardens, Acton

From £430,000

Help to Buy homes are also going on sale in an up-and-coming part of west London that’s awaiting its new Crossrail station. Lindlay is the latest collection of homes to go on sale at Acton Gardens, due to be finished by the end of the year, comprising 37 one to three bedroom apartments two minutes from Acton Town station. Most have balconies, and all residents have access to a private courtyard, but developer Countryside is also offering to pay stamp duty, legal fees and removal costs on selected homes.

The former at New Union Wharf include some Help to Buy homes from £395,000, while the others at NEO on Aston Street are a mixture of Help to Buy and private sale from £420,000 and Shared Ownership.
