Brunch goes French at this eccentric, high-brow Gallic restaurant in Spitalfields, known for its towering platters of shellfish. The menu is a delight, and not for the faint-hearted (or vegetarian). AYRESHIRE CONCERT WITH THE LSO
Scottish violin star Nicola Benedetti joins forces with compatriot James MacMillan in a programme all about northern places. These range from the unnamed “dear place” remembered by Tchaikovsky to the Hebridean seascape of Mendelssohn’s overture, to evocative portraits of the island of Iona.
