VALENTINE’S AT PARAMOUNT CLUB
Sitting on top of the Centre Point tower at Tottenham Court Road, the Paramount Club is one of London’s most glam private members’ clubs. This Saturday, however, it’s opening its doors to non-members – just for the afternoon, mind –?to allow couples to enjoy the view over a romantic Valentine’s lunch. There’s a special three course set menu, plus a cocktail on arrival, for £45. Paramount, Centre Point, WC1A 1DD.

SERENADING LOUIE AT THE DONMAR
Written in 1970, Lanford Wilson’s rarely-performed play is a classic portrait of American suburbia, dealing with couples struggling to deal with the harsh realities of adulthood as they head into their thirties. Directed by Simon Curtis, the show stars Jason Butler Harner and Charlotte Emmerson, and it opens for previews tonight. Until 27 Mar, Donmar Warehouse, 41 Earlham Street, WC2H 9LX.

ARSHILE GORKY AT TATE MODERN
The latest artist to receive a retrospective at Tate Modern is seen as one of the most important American artists of the first half of the 20th century, before Pollock, Rothko et al blew away the past. Gorky was born in Armenia, arriving in the US in 1920. He was influenced by Cezanne and Picasso as well as the Surrealists, transforming these European ideas into an expression of modernist America. Until 3 May, Tate Modern, Bankside.
