JAMIE LUMLEY PHOTO SHOW OPENS
As the son of Joanna Lumley, Jamie Lumley is in pole position  to comment on the plight of the Ghurkas. Last night saw the launch of his new photo exhibition, which explores the concept of home based on his experience of London and time spent in Nepal with his mother on the Gurkha Justice Campaign. It’s a moving collection that confirms Jamie as a rising star. Tonight-13 Nov, free, at Mews Gallery, 10-11 Lancashire Court, New Bond Street, W1S 1EY.

ROEDERER DINNER AT DUKES
It’s that time of year again, and Mayfair gem Duke’s will be hosting one of its much-loved Louis Roederer wine dinners.  Each of the four courses will be matched with a different Louis Roederer wine, including Cristal. The dinner will be hosted by the house’s Damien Motte, who will discuss and explain all the bubbly. 26 Nov, tickets £85 per person. St James’s Place, SW1A 1NY, tel: 020 7491 4840.

KANALOA OPENS
The City is about to have its first tiki bar in the form of Kanaloa, which “draws many of its influences from those distant Polynesian shores.” If you’ve been to its sister bar Mahiki, you’ll know the type of thing. If not, expect tacky but fun Polynesian-style decor, a Beach Boys soundtrack, flamboyant cocktails and a work-hard play-hard City crowd. Opens 12 Nov, 18 Lime Office Court, Hill House, Shoe Lane, EC4A 3BQ, www.kanaloaclub.com.
