RORY KINNEAR AS HAMLET

Roll up, roll up, tickets are on sale now to see this brilliant actor take on the biggest role imaginable. The Oliver-winner has proved that he is a versatile stage actor over the years, and it’s just the time for him to take on The Dane. Advance rumours suggest that he’ll do it as a hoodie, and has a mercurual rather than a gloomy take on the role, perhaps taking a cue from David Tennant. Not to be missed.

From 26 October, tickets on sale now from £10

CHOCOLATE TEA AT CLARIDGE’S

You probably didn’t know that it is chocolate week from the 11th, but it is. Where better to celebrate that Claridge’s Chocolatier William Curley will be dishing up some special creations, including a pistachio and chocolate opera, chocolate and sea salt caramel tart and – perhaps ideal for those Mayfair hedge fund boys – a tropical chocolate financier.

At Claridge’s for one week only starting on 11 October

TOM AIKENS MENU

Another week, another special event courtesy of the indefatigable Tom Aikens, who from 4-18 October is cooking up a special seasonal menu at his restaurants for the London Restaurant Festival

Tom’s Kitchen Somerset House and Chelsea, 4-18 October
