Glencore Xstrata has confirmed that it's to sell the Dakota Growers Pasta Company. (Release)

The company, part of the grain and oilseed marketer and handler Viterra, is being bought by Post Holdings for $370m in cash. The sale is expected to close in January 2014.

Dakota Growers is the third largest pasta manufacturer of dry pasta in North America, with the company offering home delivery and a pasta shape guide for customers.

Viterra has the leading share of western Canadian grain, and works across Canada and the US.
