Perez reveals McLaren exit
MEXICAN driver Sergio Perez has announced he will leave McLaren at the end of the season, clearing the path for Danish rookie Kevin Magnussen to partner Britain’s Jenson Button in 2014.
Perez is disappointed with his haul of 35 world championship points and has vowed to give his full commitment for the final two races of the year, beginning with this weekend’s United States Grand Prix.
He said: “I have always given the best of me for the team and still despite this I could not achieve what I aimed for in this historic team. I am committed to deliver very good results in these last two races.”
