Pitch at Buckingham Palace: Meet the startups in the Duke of York’s tech accelerator

Startups, entrepreneurs and business leaders will gather at Buckingham Palace tonight to hear from the twelve finalists of the Duke of York's Pitch@Palace startup accelerator programme.

Coming from across the spectrum of biotech, accessibility, construction and video, these UK startups will be given a chance to pitch the room with their specific "ask", whether that's for introductions to certain companies or future mentors to guide them.

Previous finalists have included loyalty and rewards app Yoyo Wallet, whose ask was to be introduced to Caffe Nero. The coffee chain ended up becoming the startup's first customer.

Its most famous alumnus is tech business Magic Pony, which took part in the accelerator's third edition. It was sold to Twitter in 2016 for $150m (£114m).
