CANARY WHARF RENTALS SOAR
The lettings market in Canary Wharf is booming, according to Benham and Reeves Residential Lettings. New figures show a sharp rise in enquiries, with the number of new tenants registering up by 34.7 per cent in the second quarter of 2010 on the same period in 2009. Rents are rising across the board as demand increases.

HOUSE BUILDING IN ENGLAND JUMPS
The number of houses being built in England jumped to 28,590 in the second quarter, a 13 per cent rise on the previous quarter and 84 per cent above the 2009 trough, the Department for Communities and Local Government said.
