Over 55 per cent of private rented housesholds and 52 per cent of homeowners in Mayfair are people living on their own. In the 1970s, Mayfair was dominated by 50-to-70-year-olds, but now almost 60 per cent of its residents are younger than 44, with 45 per cent aged between 25 to 44.

“The North Row ‘bois pads’ are an excellent opportunity for two or three young bachelors or bachelorettes looking for a pied-a-terre in the heart of Mayfair,” says Peter Wetherell, chief executive of the estate agency. “Not only could Boisdale deliver direct to their doors, but they can entertain downstairs and are also within walking distance of the rest of Mayfair’s restaurants. Discerning singletons will find it hard to find better located apartments.”
