Radio error prompted tussle
FORMULA ONE: McLaren have admitted that a breakdown in radio communication led to team-mates Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button tussling for the lead in the Turkish Grand Prix.
Hamilton led home a one-two but was upset that Button had passed him on lap 50 after their Red Bull rivals had collided.
Team principal Martin Whitmarsh said: “Chief engineer Phil Prew told Lewis that Jenson would not overtake. It was an instinctive response but that opinion was clearly wrong.”
