Revealed: The 10 best affordable areas to live in London
Ten London locations have made the annual Sunday Times' list for the best places to live in the country, with Isle of Dogs taking the crown for best London location.

While living in London still remains more expensive than living out of the city, the Isle of Dogs is cheaper than the capital's average property cost of £636,215.
At an average cost of £526,160, a home in the Isle of Dogs provides transport links to Canary Wharf and the City along with riverside views.
Battersea also made the list, providing an option for young families with school-age children. In addition to a newly renovated park, the neighbourhood also boasts well-rated schools, including Thomas's school, which Prince George attends.
House prices in Battersea have softened by 10-20 per cent since hitting a peak in 2014, with the average price of a starter home coming in at £626,952.
Bermondsey, which was rated the top place to live in London in last year's list, remains one of the most desirable locations because of its historic vibe, with many warehouses from Britain's 19th century industrial boom still intact.
The area boasts cultural institutions such as the White Cube gallery and the Fashion and Textile museum, attracting an artsy crowd. Crystal Palace, which is also south of the river, made the list as well.

Back on the other side of the Thames, north London contributes Highbury and East Finchley to the list, the latter of which has been home to famous residents including Spice Girls star Emma Bunton and Justin Bieber. It also boasts the fabulous Phoenix Cinema.

To the east is Leyton, which is located within London's first borough of culture, Waltham Forest.
Compiled by the Sunday Times, the list is based on a variety of factors, including employment, schools, culture, community spirit, air quality, transport links and more.
