IN-RUNNING TRADING HINTS
Betdaq are only charging 2% commission on all winning bets placed in-running during all UK and Irish races, so make sure you log on and trade your positions during this week’s Cheltenham Festival.
The feature race from a trading point of view on the opening day is the Champion Hurdle. There is usually no hiding place in the quest for the hurdling crown and normally you have to side with a horse with the speed to hold his position early on. However, speed is not assured this year with only twelve runners set to go to post and it may prove to be a more tactical affair.
Now, Noel Meade doesn’t have a great record at the Festival, but his Go Native looks set to travel far better than anything else throughout the race. Even though the world and his wife seem to know that Go Native is going to cruise through the pack rounding the home bend and may well be the only runner still on the bridle approaching the last, he still looks a back to lay proposition. He simply has to trade at shorter than the 4.9 currently available on Betdaq. I think he’ll certainly trade at odds-on at one point and that may be the time to press the escape button.
