Sir Philip Green has still not had an apology from Frank Field over “defamatory” comments
Sir Philip Green has still not had an apology from Frank Field – two days after the retail tycoon said Field had 24 hours to apologise for saying Green stole money from BHS.
Speaking about whether Field had offered an apology yet, Green told Morning Wire: "No, I haven't heard from him yet."

Field's office has not received any communication from Schillings, the law firm instructed to act on behalf of Green on the matter.
Green threatened to sue Field on Monday and gave him 24 hours to apologise. Law firm Schillings said Field's comments about Green stealing money from BHS were "highly defamatory and completely false".
"Our client has never stolen any money from BHS, Arcadia or the pension funds," Schillings said. "Clearly an allegation that our client is a thief is likely to cause him serious harm."

Green came under fire from MPs and others this week for the way he ran BHS. Writing for City A.M, Richard Graham, an MP on the joint select committee that investigated Green, said "Sir Philip Green ran BHS like a medieval fiefdom".
Vince Cable tweeted: "Green the new #Maxwell. Press forget when I and others attacked his #Monaco tax scam we were 'anti-business'. Where are his friends now?"
