For a festive treat: winter wonderland
Ice rink? Check. Fun fair? Check. 200 fairy-lit Bavarian wooden chalets? Check. Winter Wonderland, London’s most extravagantly christmassy spectacle, returns to Hyde Park today. Open every day from 10am-10pm.

For a Christmas ride: Tally ho! cycle tour
Tally Ho! have organised a cycle ride around all London’s best Christmas attractions. The route takes you from Winter Wonderland in Hyde park through the West End all the way to the Southbank where you finish off at the Real Food Market. Saturday and Sunday, £25 per rider, visit tallyhocycletours.com.

For a midday dance: Oblique Winter Brunch
Warm yourself up by getting on down this weekend at the Oblique Winter Brunch. There’ll be tasty, hangover-curing food as well as music from the Super Hero DJ crew at Beach Blanket Babylon Shoreditch. Saturday, £20, food included, visit obliquelondon.com.

For a winter warmer: Piste
Hankering after the slopes? Get your fill of apres-ski indulgence with the new Piste pop-up. With actual skis and cosy animal skins, it’s the perfect place to warm the cockles above the hustle and bustle of Soho. Open till 1am, archerstreet.co.uk.
