Southgate lands FA position

FOOTBALL: Former England defender Gareth Southgate will take on the newly-created role of head of elite development for English football. His main responsibility will be to develop more young players. “As a former England player I’m committed to helping develop a greater number of high-quality international players,” Southgate said.
