BECOME CITY A.M.’S CHAMPION TRADER
If you have ever fancied yourself as the next George Soros or John Paulson, then here’s your chance. Morning Wire today launches its Champion Trader 2010 competition in conjunction with Interbank FX. The fantasy trading game has a prize pot of £10,000 and is free to enter. All traders start with a virtual trading fund of £10,000, which can be used to place as many trades as you want throughout November.

A wide range of markets is available to trade on the platform, from global indices and individual shares to FX, commodities and bonds. Weekly prizes will be handed out but the trader who increases his capital by the most will be crowned the Champion Trader 2010. To register for or to find out more visit: www.intertrader.com/champion

FOLLOW TOP FX TRADERS ON CURRENSEE
Foreign exchange social network Currensee has just launched a new service providing retail traders with the means to invest in top-performing currency traders. In partnership with Ava FX, Currensee picks trade leaders, who are required to show a proven track record of positive performance and appropriate risk management over a consistent period of time.

Private investors can then follow these trade leaders, whose trades are automatically executed by their followers. Once in the program, every trade leader’s performance and trading is reviewed on a daily basis to ensure they continue to achieve performance and risk targets.

SHORTANDLONGS EXPANDS FX RANGE
ShortsandLongs.com – a trading name of Spreadex – has expanded its range of spot currency pairs to include more exotic foreign exchange crosses such as US dollar-Hungarian forint, US dollar-Norwegian krone and New Zealand dollar-Swiss franc. They now have five spot currency classes: major, minor, Australasian, Scandinavian and exotic. ShortsandLongs.com has also just slashed the spreads on 11 of its spot currency pairs by between 20 and 60 per cent with the biggest reduction on Aussie dollar-US dollar.
