First Kaka, now Ronaldo for Real
READ MADRID president Florentino Perez began his pursuit for Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo last night insisting he would do “everything possible” to land the Portuguese star.

Perez is building a new team of ‘galacticos’ after securing the £59m transfer of Kaka on Monday night, and is now set to test United’s resolve.

“I will do everything possible to get Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid,” the returning president said. “Kaka is (just) the first signing.”

Martinez confirmed as Wigan boss
WIGAN chairman Dave Whelan last night confirmed Swansea boss Roberto Martinez as the club’s new manager.

“I’m very excited about securing the services of Roberto Martinez. I hold him in the highest regard,” Whelan said.

Scolari lands Uzbek role
FORMER Chelsea boss Luis Felipe Scolari was named as the new manager of Uzbek champions Bunyodkor.

The Brazilian, sacked by the Blues in February, agreed an 18-month contract.
