LIVERPOOL were last night eliminated from the Capital One Cup as manager Brendan Rodgers’s former side advanced to a quarter-final at home to Middlesbrough.
Chico had given his side a deserved 34th-minute lead when heading in from a corner.
The score remained 1-0 for much of the match before Nathan Dyer converted a Swansea counter attack in the 72nd minute. Liverpool’s Luis Suarez pulled one back four minutes later before Jonathan de Guzman sealed the win in the 90th minute.
