TED-style talks and a spot of golf at Gleneagles for City CIOs

THERE’S a bunch of lucky CIOs and investment professionals waking up in Gleneagles this morning for the Global CIO Summit, organised by investment manager web portal creators HedgePo.

Representatives from the likes of Aberdeen Asset Management, Cheyne Capital, Old Mutual and Arbuthnot Latham will be settling in for a day of TED-style talks from decision-makers and academics about the future of investment management.

Naturally, one doesn’t go to Gleneagles without polishing off one’s seven iron, so tomorrow delegates will be hitting the Ryder Cup course.

That’s if their heads aren’t too sore from tonight’s champagne reception (or indeed, last night’s Johnnie Walk­er Blue, whisky blending).
