The 4P’s Of Inclusive Recruitment

By:

Add as a preferred source on Google

To recruit inclusively employers must address the biases and barriers that marginalised groups of people experience at every stage of their recruitment process, and develop a culture that enables everyone to thrive.

We developed our model for inclusive recruitment in partnership with employers, such as Balfour Beatty. It includes tips for:

1. Partnering

Collaborate with organisations who work alongside underrepresented groups ensures better solutions informed by lived experience.

2. Promote

Promotion at multiple levels is critical; senior sponsorship for visibility and sustainability, ambassadors to champion the work, and storytelling to demonstrate impact.

3. Process

Delivery must be linked to strategic goals, there must be operational capacity, and clear processes and simple resources to support implementation

4. Pilot

A pilot, coupled with an iterative approach to evaluating progress and making adaptions sets an initiative up for success and wider roll out.

Contact Hannah Brooke if you’d like to start your inclusive recruitment journey. All it takes is a first step, we are here to advise and support you to recruit more inclusively.
