THE UK earnings season is still in full flow and a number of major companies are reporting results this week. One of the big names reporting today is City firm Tullett Prebon – will their figures bring some impetus to the share price? Even though the shares are up 21 per cent so far this year, they have been moving sideways for about the past four months. But the trend seems to be to the upside, so watch for a break of 360p to take the shares back towards 400p. Spread Co offers 341.7p-343.3p.

Tomorrow sees online comparison site moneysupermarket.com announce earnings. With austerity being the theme of the moment, more people should be using the site to benefit from their ideas. Capital Spreads quotes 68.2p-69.5p.

Also out tomorrow are results from homebuilder Taylor Wimpey. With the share price currently very close to the 52-week low of 24.9p, a decent set of results could signal the start of more robust times for the company. Cantor Index offers a spread of 26.44p-26.59p.
