● On Thursday Dunelm, Green Dragon Gas, Indus Gas and Kingfisher all announce. The latter has nothing to do with the popular lager, but is the largest home improvement retailer in Europe. Its shops include B&Q.

ECONOMICS NEWS

As safe havens, both New Zealand and Switzerland are facing great demand for their currencies.

● The Office for National Statistics releases August’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) on Thursday. The CPI measure of inflation remains stubbornly high at 4.4 per cent, despite fears from some that deflation might be heading our way.

POLITICAL NEWS
● The Independent Commission on Banking publishes the final findings of its proposals on banking reform today. David Cameron is also scheduled to meet Russia’s President Dmitry Medvedev and Vladimir Putin and a chief for London’s Metropolitan Police is also expect to be appointed today.
