Top 100 undergraduate employers: Bank of America Merrill Lynch is the UK’s best employer for recent graduates and other young talent
It’s hard to find qualified work as a student, but some UK companies are better than others at making the most of undergraduate talent.
Bank of America Merrill Lynch has claimed the top spot, as last year’s winner Barclays dropped down to the ninth place on the list when Rate My Placement ranked the top 100 undergraduate employers.

Overall, financial companies seem to be good at attracting and supporting young talent. The sector dominates the list, with Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse and Deloitte also in the top 10.
Today’s ranking followed the news that half of the UK’s recent graduates are working in non-graduate jobs.
Overall, graduate salaries are rising, but in London, paycheques have grown four per cent thinner, a development Ollie Sidwell, co-founder of Rate My Placement, called “concerning”:
