Tottenham offload Dempsey
FOOTBALL: United States captain Clint Dempsey has completed his move from Tottenham to Seattle Sounders for an undisclosed fee. Midfielder Dempsey, 30, returns to Major League Soccer after scoring 12 goals in 43 appearances for Spurs following his move from Fulham last summer. “Having recently played in Seattle with the national team, I experienced the passion from the supporters first-hand. It’s going to be an honour to represent the fans,” said Dempsey.
