Trainline and Virgin Atlantic face watchdog’s ‘drip pricing’ probe

A ruling by the UK ad watchdog has raised questions over Virgin Atlantic's "groundbreaking" biofuel-powered flight across the Atlantic last November.

Owner KKR could release another 41m shares in an over-allotment option, which would bring the number of shares in public circulation to 312m, representing 65 per cent of Trainline’s issued share capital.

Trainline confirmed its intention to launch in London back in late May.

Gilmartin told Morning Wire at the time: “It’s a very natural next step for the business and an IPO would be helpful for us in attracting and retaining great talent.”

JP Morgan Cazenove and Morgan Stanley are leading the Trainline IPO.

KKR Capital Markets, Barclays and Numis will act as joint bookrunners now Trainline has made its debut.

Trainline grew profit 62 per cent between 2016 and 2019 to hti £147.6m last year.
