Piccadilly Tube and Heathrow Express train lines around airport knocked out by power surge

Update: The chaos caused by this morning's power cut at Heathrow is still creating major headaches for travellers coming in and out of the airport today. 
 
As well as causing major disruption to both Tube and train services into Heathrow Airport, passengers flying from Terminal Five have now been told their bags may not fly with them.

But the chaos began for many before they even got to the airport. The Piccadilly Line was suspended for lines between Terminals One, Two, Three and Five shortly before 8am “due to a local power failure”, Transport for London said. 
 
London Underground tickets are being accepted on local bus service.
 
The Heathrow Express into Terminal Five was also suspended, but Paddington to Heathrow Central, and connections to Terminal Four, were unaffected.

There is no word yet on how long the power will be out.

A Heathrow spokesperson said: “This morning Terminal Five suffered a loss of power due to an issue with our supplier. Power has now been restored, however the baggage system was impacted for a number of hours. 
 
"We apologise to passengers affected and we are working hard to ensure that they are reunited with their bags as quickly as possible. Flights are continuing to operate as normal.”
