Tube delays: Commuters face disruption on key London Underground lines
Commuters were facing havoc on London’s Tube this morning with three lines hit by delays and track suspensions.

No trains were running between Aldgate and Edgware Road via Embankment on the clockwise Circle Line route due to a signal failure at Tower Hill, with minor delays running anti-clockwise.
Meanwhile the signal failure also caused severe delays on the District Line , with Transport for London (TfL) advising commuters their tickets are valid on local bus services.
One Tube driver called the service “just very messed up” according to Francesca Banks on Twitter.

Passengers using the Hammersmith & City Line were also hit with severe delays from the signal failure, leaving commuters to make alternative arrangements on their way to work this morning.
A TfL spokesperson said: “We apologise for the disruption this morning to customers on the District, Circle, and Hammersmith & City lines due to a signal failure at Tower Hill. Our engineers are on site and working to fix the issue as soon as possible.”
Meanwhile a reduced service continues to plague the Overground between Gospel Oak and Barking.
Trains made up of just four carriages are running every 30 minutes with a special bus service supplementing the lack of trains.

It follows a week of Tube disruption last week, when commuters had to deal with severe delays to the Circle Line, Hammersmith & City Line and the Metropolitan Line after a signal failure at Aldgate.
