US house prices up 12.1 per cent on a year ago

US house prices have risen by 12.1 per cent in the year to June, beating economist forecasts of a 12.0 per cent rise.

The data from the S&P/Case-Shiller home price index is slightly lower than last month's 12.2 per cent growth.
