US treasury secretary Lew says Obama won’t negotiate on debt ceiling

US treasury secretary Jack Lew has said that President Barack Obama will not negotiate over the debt ceiling, and that delaying an increase to the last minute is a "very dangerous" option.

Lew said that social security, medicare and contract payments are at risk, with a danger of a depleting cash balance at the Treasury.
