Webber signs for extra Red Bull year
RED Bull driver Mark Webber has signed a new one-year contract with the Formula One team to end speculation of a transfer to Ferrari.
Webber will now continue to partner world champion Sebastian Vettel, of Germany, until 2013.
“I’ve been with Red Bull Racing since 2007 and have achieved nine grand prix wins during that time,” said Webber (left), who also confirmed talks with Ferrari had taken place. “I’m high on confidence at the moment and firing on all cylinders.
“I know the team well and I’m very comfortable here; we have grown together over the years and it feels right.”
