WEST HAM have signed Stoke City defender Abdoulaye Faye on a free transfer. The Senegal defender links up with manager Sam Allardyce for the third time in his career.

CHELSEA CEO Ron Gourlay says plans are in place to appoint Carlo Ancelotti’s successor as manager by the end of the month, but that no new signings are likely to be completed before then.

LILLE general manager Frederic Paquet has confirmed striker Gervinho wants to move to England this summer and talks with Arsenal are planned. Paquet said: “He wants to go and has developed contacts with Arsenal.”

BLACKPOOL chairman Karl Oyston has confirmed that “preliminary discussions” have taken place with Liverpool over the sale of Scotland international Charlie Adam.

MANCHESTER CITY’S Jerome Boateng says he has agreed a four-year deal with Bayern Munich.
