The Watch Gallery becomes Bucherer.

I am delighted to bring our 130 year old brand to London. This city represents heritage like no other, yet at the same time it is at the centre of so many exciting new ideas that spread to the wider world.

Jörg G Bucherer, owner and third generation of the Bucherer family.

The Watch Gallery has the pleasure of joining luxury Swiss retailer Bucherer as we introduce ourselves in the UK. After a recent acquisition we are now proud to be part of the Bucherer family. Bucherer 1888 are Europe’s leading Swiss watch retailer with 130 years of expertise. Bucherer will bring long standing relationships and savoire- faire straight from Lucerne – the heart of Switzerland.

130 years ago in the heart of Switzerland, Carl-Friedrich Bucherer and his wife Luise opened their first watch and jewellery store in Lucerne. Even in 1888 before Switzerland became the watch mecca it is know as today, the country held a distinguished reputation for the art of watchmaking. The couple’s sons, Ernst and Carl Eduard Bucherer joined the company in the 1920’s with a wealth of knowledge that lead Bucherer to even greater successes and expansion. In his primary tenure at Bucherer, Ernst entered into a successful partnership with Hans Wilsdorf, the founder of Rolex, at the time a little known watch brand. To date Rolex remains Bucherer’s most important partner and leader in the world of horology. From its early beginnings, Bucherer has continued to bring the world’s finest time pieces to discerning clients.

With 130 years of watch expertise, your watch purchases will be courtesy of Europe’s leading Swiss watch retailer. Bucherer combines a strong passion for watches and impeccable hospitality to enhance The Watch Gallery’s product offer and service at the highest possible level. The innovative company will bring long standing relationships and savoir-faire direct from Lucerne; the heart of Switzerland.
