Woodward not right for England job
FORMER RFU council member Jeff Probyn has warned the governing body against appointing Sir Clive Woodward as performance director.
World Cup winning coach Woodward has been heavily linked with the vacant post, but Probyn believes his potential appointment would antagonise current England boss Martin Johnson.
Probyn said: “Clive likes to do things his way and have complete control. I am not sure how well that would sit with Martin Johnson.
“Martin has an interesting history with Clive and it is far from a given that the two would get along. Their relationship is not as good as people think it is.”
