Mare Street Studios in Hackney is about to be turned into a hipster paradise
Workspace has been given the go-ahead to refurbish the Mare Street Studios in Hackney, promising to create a hipster paradise in the City Fringe.
The 55,000 sq ft of office space will come with a co-working space, cycle storage, communal breakout areas, showers, meeting rooms and a cafe.

The offices, on Mare Street, are between Whitechapel and central Hackney, near London Fields station, an area which has become a hipster hub. Workspace has emphasised on its website that some of the studio's spaces "also have wooden flooring and exposed brickwork" – essential for any cutting-edge work environment.
Broadway Market, famous for its street food, is 10 minutes' walk from the offices.
Workspace will add a rooftop extension to the current building, which has 38,000 sq ft of space at the moment. The site was valued at £9.4m in March.
