Wren Kitchens to create 1,200 new jobs
Wren Kitchens plans to create 1,200 new jobs as it seeks to expand its manufacturing workforce.
The company is seeking approval to build a new £120m manufacturing facility in the Humber.
The new factory, which will be the company’s fourth in the region, is set to be built on a 180-acre site behind company’s headquarters in Barton.

The project will be the largest investment in the firm’s history. If planning permission is granted, the project will be funded internally.
If planning permission is successful, the new factory will create 1,200 new manufacturing jobs. The company also plans to hire for positions in IT, engineering, customer service and product development.
Wren has one of the biggest workforces in the region, employing more than 2,500 people across its sites in Barton, Scunthorpe, Howden and Hull.

Wren Kitchen’s managing director Mark Pullan said: “The new factory demonstrates our commitment to manufacturing in the UK and particularly the Humber Region. We believe that continual re-investment in our business is essential to maintaining our current growth rate.”
Councillor Rob Waltham, leader of North Lincolnshire Council, said: “It’s a fantastic vote of confidence for the business and for North Lincolnshire that Wren Kitchens is looking to expand its operations in Barton.”
