New Puma ad campaign puts Usain Bolt and Mario Balotelli in a hot tub

Usain Bolt and Mario Balotelli in a hot tub.

That's pretty much the basic premise of Puma's new TV advertisement, "Calling All Troublemakers", which accompanies the launch of the company’s new brand platform – “Forever Faster”.

Alongside the charismatic sprinter and the mischievous AC Milan striker, Sergio Aguero, Marta Viera da Silver, the Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 team, NFL player Jadeveon Clowney and golfers Rickie Fowler and Lexi Thompson also star in the new ad.

Much like Nike’s “Just do it” tagline, Puma is hoping “Forever Faster” will be associated with their brand around the world.

Adam Petrick, global marketing director at Puma said:

Forever faster is about Puma making a statement as a brand and reminding people that we are and will continue to be the fastest sports brand in the world.

This is going to change the way we approach product design and innovation as well as how we market our brand.

This season marks Puma’s first as shirt sponsor of Premier League giants Arsenal, in a deal that will cost the brand around £30m a year.

Puma sponsors nine clubs in Europe’s top five leagues with shirts, making it the third biggest supplier to clubs in Europe’s top five leagues behind Nike and Adidas, who supply 26 and 18 respectively.
