Brussels attacks: A second man is charged in connection with alleged foiled Paris attack
A second man has been charged in connection with an alleged foiled attack on Paris, Belgian prosecutors have said.
Abderamane A was charged, the prosecutors said, according to local media.
The Belga news agency said prosecutors had stated Abderamane A was charged with involvement in a terrorist group.
It comes after French interior minister Bernard Cazaneuve said on Friday that a French national in the “advanced stages” of a plot to attack the country had been arrested in north-west Paris.
Meanwhile, the Belgian police investigating the Brussels airport blasts have concluded their investigations on site.
Yesterday three men were charged with terrorist offences by Belgian prosecutors following the Brussels attacks that killed more than 30 people.
Earlier today it was also announced that a march in Brussels was cancelled. The government accepted that it did not have the capacity to police the march given the heightened security threat.
And in further developments, it emerged that Italian authorities are holding an Algerian man who is suspected of creating fake documents for the Paris and Brussels attackers so they could move freely around Europe.
Djamal Eddine Ouali was arrested by anti-terrorism police and could be extradited to Belgium.
