EU referendum: David Beckham comes out in favour of Remain
One of England's most celebrated footballers of recent years has made a rare political intervention just two days before the referendum, declaring how they he be casting his vote.
David Beckham, former England captain and famous number seven, who shot to fame at Manchester United and had spells at Real Madrid, AC Milan, Paris St Germain and LA Galaxy, said this morning that he'll be backing Remain.
What's more, Becks delivered the long-promised "positive" case for the EU which many have argued has been painfully lacking from other Remain campaigners.

"I'm passionate about my country and whatever the result of Thursday's referendum, we will always be great," Beckham said.
"We live in a vibrant and connected world, where together as a people we are strong. For our children and their children, we should be facing the problems of the world together and not alone.
Will we see similar scenes on Friday morning from the famous Manchester United number seven if the UK votes to stay?
"For these reasons I am voting to remain."
The 41-year old former midfielder said his experiences playing abroad and alongside Europeans in the treble-winning Manchester United squad of 1998/99 influenced his decision.
"Those great European cities and their passionate fans welcomed me and my family and gave us the opportunity to enjoy their unique and inspiring cultures and people," Beckham said of his experiences in Madrid, Milan and Paris.
