Gibraltar votes Remain as it takes crown for first completed count in the EU referendum
The small overseas territory of Gibraltar has voted to stay in the European Union, becoming the first area to declare as part of today's historic referendum.
The Remain camp garnered an overwhelming 95.9 per cent of the vote, while Leave had just 4.1 per cent.

It was also the first area to announce the number of people who voted, putting the total figure at 20,174.
Sunderland and Newcastle are competing for the title of first area within Britain to declare, with their announcements expected to come out at around 12.30am.
Other results to watch are Sterling which is expected at 1am, followed by Oxford and Basildon at 2am and then Hammersmith and Torbay at 3am.
Birmingham and Tendring are due to declare around 4am, Glasgow and Liverpool at 5am and then Great Yarmouth at 4.30am.

A YouGov poll released earlier this evening predicted that Remain will win the EU referendum with 52 per cent of the vote.
The findings were backed up by a subsequent Ipsos Mori poll which put Remain on 54 per cent, while Leave had 46 per cent.
